Flower & Foliage
Portraits and Still Life
with Pen & Ink
is an exciting
adventure into life around me. The subjects that peak my interest and
capture my heart are what you see in my paintings. I
enjoy capturing the texture of rocks or bark on trees or the fur
on animals and feathers on birds. To paint a two dimensional surface
and portray the glory
of the sky from sunrise to fog or clear blue sky to storm clouds, as
the grandeur of mountains and valleys capturing distance and
space is a joy and blessing. I love the
contrast of darks and lights as they play against each other in the
values of the subject. The Light has over come the darkness in my life
when I trusted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. He has given me
forgiveness, love, freedom, peace, purpose and so much more. I am able
to be the person He created me to be and use the talents He has gifted
me with for His glory.

Out of His Mind
Jan - Feb. 6th the Tewksbury Community of Artists pays tribute to
Mico Kaufman, world renown Sculptor and Medalist,
who resided in our town until his passing in 2016.
Mico always had images in his mind of what he wanted to create.
He would have more than one project going on at the same time.
This is my tribute to this humble, creative artist and friend.

Wood Duck II
God has created so many beautifully exquiste creatures for us
to enjoy. I looked out my slider and to my delight on this early spring morning
with a dusting of snow on the wooded area behind our house,
there up on a tree limb was a gorgeous male Wood Duck.
He stayed long enough for me to get a few photos and then flew.
What an amazing sight in the midst of a snowy wonderland.
This was painted as a demo for the Bedford Arts and Crafts Society.

Then God said, Let the waters abound with an abundance
of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across
face of the firmament of the heavens. So God created great sea
creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters
abounded, according to their kind, and every winged bird according to
its kind. And God saw that it was good. And God blessed them,
saying, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters of the seas, and
let birds multiply on the earth."
the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into
barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more
value than they?
