the contrast of the freshness of the roses against the
weathered clapboards of the cottage.
It is a picture of
abiding in the vine
and the beauty that is produced when you trust in the Lord.

Manana
Manana
Island is the protector of the harbor of Monhegan Island,
a
safe place from the open ocean to tie up for the night.
It was the home of the hermit for many years and the coastguard station
both are now deserted. Visitors may hire Rusty to motor them to the
island
to hike around it and get a great view of Monhegan Village.

Solstice
Painting

Monhegan School House
The
one room school house stands on the north end of the village. Grade
school children attend until they have to go to the mainland to finish
high school. Many island activities take place here.
