Jeanne's Art Gallery
with Pen & Ink
is an exciting
adventure into life around me. The subjects that peak my interest and
capture my heart are what you see in my paintings. I
enjoy capturing the texture of rocks or bark on trees or the fur
on animals and feathers on birds. To paint a two dimensional surface
and portray the glory
of the sky from sunrise to fog or clear blue sky to storm clouds, as
the grandeur of mountains and valleys capturing distance and
space is a joy and blessing. I love the
contrast of darks and lights as they play against each other in the
values of the subject. The Light has over come the darkness in my life
when I trusted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. He has given me
forgiveness, love, freedom, peace, purpose and so much more. I am able
to be the person he created me to be and use the talents He has gifted
me with for His glory.

A Bottle of Milk
one of my mother's collection of blue glass filled
with white as milk
I created this scene with the pond in the background.
Mom planted hundreds of narcissus bulbs around the property.
She loved to work outside.
She enjoyed God's creation and never shied away from hard work.

Fishing in the Rain
One day while driving along the Merrimack River,
I spotted this young woman fishing in the rain under her big colorful umbrella.
I had to stop and take a photo.
She was a delight to my heart, a splash of color in the midst of a gray day.

In the middle of winter here in New England
it is sometimes hard to visualize that Spring will return.
The narcissus will come up and bloom beautifully.
We have a wonderful promise from God in Genesis 8:22.
"As long as the earth endures, seed time and harvest,
cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease."
God will bring Spring along with the birds and flowers and leafing trees
to bring color and beauty to the weary soul.
is good and in Acts 14:17 it says, "Yet He has not left Himself without
testimony: He has shown kindness by giving you rain from heaven and
crops in their seasons; He provides you with plenty of food and
fills your hearts with joy."
